Who should receive Press Releases about Project London?

Really? NetFlix isn't terribly remunerative -- the streaming deals I've been hearing about are less than $2K a year for indy product. While VOD is nice for a bit of extra cash, the only real money is still in DVD sales. At least that's all I've been seeing from here. ;-)

Andrew, excellent info. I had no idea. Tell me about our VOD options. What has your experience been with VOD outlets and who do you recommend? I know nothing (as per usual).

We have been operating under the assumption that people aren't gonna buy a DVD unless they like the film. So, extending that theory, there has to be an outlet for people to see it at fairly low cost... thus NetFlix was added to the list. iTunes lets folks rent or buy, so that is attractive.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience!

Well, the picture on the video box has been what's been selling indy product for the last 20 years. Now, with the retailers closing like crazy, it's been harder and harder to get into (say) Blockbuster and the like. But that's where the biggest chunk of money comes from.
I think I've made something like $435 from VOD. But I don't have access to how my distributor's distributor (you like that structure? I'm so far away from the buyer that I don't even know who's selling "Alien Uprising") is selling my last picture so I don't even know their VOD deal.
Good key art, a decent overseas sales rep, and someone getting the picture into stores is the best way I know of. Well, it's the second-best way. If you can get someone to give you theatrical (as long as they aren't the IFC ;-) and get you a good home video deal from there -- that would be the BEST deal.

As much as I love The Big Bang Theory, "rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock" is for losers. Real pros play "RPS 25": http://www.umop.com/rps25.htm
