How old are you and why?
55, so far. Because 1953 was a most awesome year; the same year as the first summit of Everest by Edmond Hillary and Tensing Norgay.
What got you started in film work?
I grew up an atheist. At the age of 17 I became a Christian and dropped the goal of becoming a nuclear physicist and substituted the goal of making movies for God. Project London was my first feature film as a DP. I have completed two more since and I have two scheduled for early next year. I guess that 55 is not too old to see the dream of a lifetime come to fruition.
What are you working on in the movie?
I am the Director of Photography

Gladiator, Amazing Grace, Elizabeth; The Golden Age, Signs, LOTR (all three), The Island, The Man Who Would be King, Three Kings, The End of the Spear, The Italian Job, Popeye The Movie, Babe, Children of Men, O Brother, Ironman, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Army of Darkness, Lost City, The Matrix, Scorpion King, Everest Imax, Project London.
What would your mom say about Project London, the movie?
Get a real job already.
What super power would you choose and why?
The ability to ultimately control light.
What super power do you actually have?
The ability to imagine that I can ultimately control light, and many light meters to measure it.
What are your favorite bands and/or albums?

If there were tigers roaming the streets and you had to defend yourself, what weapon would you choose?
A nail file, it makes it more even and there are no tigers roaming the streets. This is a silly question thought up by the likes of Ian Hubert.
What would you like to tell us about yourself that we didn't ask?
I never got that real job.
What question are you glad we didn't ask?
Why didn’t I ever get that real job.
