Project London

(Tom Hall, left and Scott Burnett, right; circa late nineties)

What is your name?
The Honorable Judge Tom Hall, but you can call me Tom.

How old are you and why?
Sigh... that depends entirely on the circumstances. When I'm working on anything that excites my creative passion, I feel like a teenager—energized and eager to see the outcome. But I'm reminded that I was born in 1957 (nearly prehistoric times) whenever I realize that I've become invisible to women under 30. All of which is a longwinded way of saying that I'm 51, because i was born too damned soon.

What got you started in film work?
Curiosity (which as we all know, killed the cat), the camaraderie of working on a crew, the opportunity to make a few quatloos doing something a little different.

What are you working on in the movie?
Helping to coordinate all things audio and making the final mix.

What are your favorite movies?
Office Space, Along Came Polly, In Search of the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, The Meaning of Life, Ghostbusters, The Graduate, Casablanca, Silent Running, Star Trek IV, Debbie Does Dallas (not really, just seeing if you were paying attention), Drowning Mona, Animal House, Caddyshack, Austin Powers, Serenity, Napoleon Dynamite, Juno, Jurassic Park, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Big Lebowski, The Princess Bride, The Big Night, Crash, blah, blah, blah, etc...

What would your mom say about Project London, the movie?
Mom always subscribed to the idea that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. And since I'm guessing she wouldn't "get" Project London, she'd most likely opt to say nothing and smile enigmatically.

What super powers would you choose and why?
Hmmm... Telekinesis, Teleportation, X-ray vision, the ability to start and stop time... maybe I could work out a deal to have each of those, but only one at a time... whadya think?

What super power do you actually have?
The ability to make an inappropriate joke in nearly any situation... it takes more talent than you might think!

What are your favorite bands and/or albums?
Miles Davis "Kind Of Blue", Dido "Safe Trip Home", Elton John "Yellow Brick Road", Lyle Lovett "Joshua Judges Ruth", Death Cab for Cutie "Plans", The Tubes "Completion Backwards Principle", Pink Floyd "The Wall", Kevin Gilbert "The Shaming of the True", The Beatles "Abbey Road", The Foo Fighters "There is Nothing Left To Lose", Sheryl Crow "Sheryl Crow", Steely Dan "Aja", and the list could go on for pages...

If there were tigers roaming the streets and you had to defend yourself, what weapon would you choose?
Several bricks of high grade Northern California Catnip. And perhaps a claw and fang proof kevlar full body armor.

What would you like to tell us about yourself that we didn't ask?
I surprise myself nearly every day.

What question are you glad we didn't ask?
I'm really relieved you didn't ask about that unfortunate incident with the stolen Klingon shuttlecraft and the zone of contamination that was created when I accidentally shifted into reverse while flying at treetop level at nearly .01C—I would have sworn that lever was for the ice dispenser. Hey, ya can't make a margarita without ice! I was lucky that the autodocs were able to repair most of the damage, but I doubt that I'll ever adjust to having only two eyes, two ears, and two hands. So if you see me, please be polite and try not to stare.
